I learned that these college students still have very rigid concepts of what constitutes masculinity....as well as being somewaht homophobic. there were quite a few, however, that were excited that gay men had their own show. Since I also asked them for some demographics on political views and religiosity, it was interesting to try to predict how they felt toward homosexuality...and sometimes even being self-identified as a liberal did not mean they were rexeptive to the show. Usually those who were the most negative were very religious...so that was predictable.
